Our #1 necks are large and full with a good feather count. They have very good color and a minimal anount of split feathers. This is the grade that tyers should choose if they are creating presentation flies. The feathers on this grade will also require little preperation before mounting.

Our #2 Grade is very similar in size and color to the top quality necks but there will be a higher count of split feathers that require mending with flex cement. Most of the splits are in the larger feathers. This grade is perfect for the tyer who is just starting out or for those who wish to dress their fishing flies in the traditional fashion.
